Creative Cafe with Mattie Lynch & Jimmy Rogers

Friday 9th June – 8.30am to 10am @ Urban Coffee Church Street

When the inevitable has happened and we’re faced with 5 more ‘strong and stable’ years of Theresa May, drown your sorrows in coffee and pastries with the first of our Creative Cafe events this year. We’ve got super talented speakers Jimmy Rogers and (newly added) Mattie Lynch talking about about their illustration and design work. Come join us and head off to work in a better mood.

Glug Birmingham #7 Design Talk: Personality Types

Thursday 15th June – 6pm @ Spotlight

Glug Birmingham is back again and keeps getting busier and better. Curated by Birmingham based graphic designer and magazine art-director Luke Tonge, the line-up for this special edition of Glug Brum is super diverse with lots of different aspects of type included – from designers to lettering artists, type experts, installation and letterpress.

Summer in Southside

17th – 18th June – around the Arcadian, Hippodrome etc.

Escape to the Countryside, on the streets of Southside this Summer! This year, Birmingham Hippodrome’s annual festival celebrates the great outdoors where wildlife roam and folk, dance and live music fill the air.

Over the weekend, enjoy the familiar to the peculiar and unearth the hidden delights of our city. You can find alternative sports days on the Village Green, tranquility in The Arcadian, see a giant tree grow and listen to magical stories and enchanting music.
