October Arts Round Up

Last Updated: Wednesday 4th October, 2017 at 8:13 pm

Hi everyone,

It feels like we’ve been a little quieter of late, and that’s because we have been. But want you to rest assured it’s because we’re busy planning awesome things. We’ve got a few small things in the pipeline to see out the year, having welcomed some new team members to the mix. Sam and Fay have joined to look after photography events, whilst Milly and Karen will be doing the same for illustration and creative writing respectively. Our hope is in addition to our programme of mixed creative events we’ll have a few more focused ones that will benefit the bigger ones when they come around.

My time lately has predominantly been spent working on Birmingham Design Festival, we’re not far off being able to announce a bunch of things for that. Keep the 6th of November in your diary free, where we’re planning a screening of Graphic Means with BCU which will include an introduction to the festival from ourselves and Adrian Shaughnessy.

With that out the way here’s some things to have your eye on this month:

Canvas Conference 2017

Canvas conference has come round again and I’ll be going. I went last year and it’s a brilliant event and becoming one of the true hallmarks of the Brum design scene. There’s going to be talks from Monzo, duolingo, All 4, Buzzfeed and others.
