Small Talk with Tim Allen

Thursday 21st April, 2016 - 8:15 pm to 9:00 pm

As part of the Flatpack 2016 programme we brought back Small Talk, this time with a film theme. Stop motion animator Tim Allen joined us to discuss his work on Fantastic Mr Fox and Frankenweenie amongst others.

As it’s part of the Flatpack programme, we wanted this next instalment of Small Talk to have a film theme, and specifically focus on the creative team behind the film.

We’re pleased to announce we have stop motion animator Tim Allen joining us to discuss his career which includes work on feature films such as Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox, Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie and Corpse Bride, Peter & The Wolf and various projects with Aardman. Check out his website for more information there’s some cool stuff in there.

The Shell Space seats plenty, so this event won’t be ticketed just turn up on the night and enjoy! We’ll also be doing post drinks afterwards at the Woodman.

About the Event

Tim Allen

I’m a freelance stop motion animator & have enjoyed a 14 year career on a wide range of stop motion projects. Most recently I’ve been animating at Aardman on>Shaun the Sheep & also aWoodsFilm on their promotional campaign for Boomerang TV. On special occasions I venture out to teach at universities, give workshops at festivals & thus corrupt the next generation of practitioners. In fact the last 6 months of 2013 saw me very busy travelling around Europe giving stop motion workshops. Some have been for university students & adults, others for children & families. It’s been a lot of fun & I plan to do more!
